| Many of our medium and large size refrigeration units have been designed specifically
for the temperature range from +3° to +8°C. By concentrating on this region
has enabled the product to be far more cost-effective than if we had included
below-zero operation. Our above-zero refrigeration units utilise simplified technology
which translates to a lower price to the end user. Naturally we are able to supply
deep-freeze units for below-zero operation where required. Our coldroom assembly is as ingenious as it is simple. It would be very expensive to produce a multitude of different dimension wall panels to each client's needs. So RAC Kettering devised a modular system which comprises a standard size wall panel. Each panel has a 'tongue-and-groove' with an integrated locking system. Assembly is incredibly fast, and is carried out on-site and indoors. The panels are seated in a U-profile, and then locked to each other via the integrated lock within each panel. This clamps each panel to its neighbour, sealing it tightly against heat penetration. Storage cellars, where supplies stay fresh at a constant temperature and level of humidity have become a rarity. Basements in homes are simply not built for food storage. The refrigerated storage cell from Coldrooms sets new standards for the storage of fresh food. To keep food fresh" and not just "cold" you need the right humidity
as well as the right temperature. Sensitive produce requires gentle refrigeration.
Unlike a conventional refrigerator the Viessmann refrigerated storage cells
have a humidity selector switch.This means, for example, the lettuce and vegetables
stay fresh and tasty in the refrigerated storage cell not just for two days
but for a whole week. Cheese does not go dry. Fruit remains juicy and appetizing.
Valuable vitamins and fine aroma are preserved. Half-year supplies of potatoes
and onions can be stored without worry. And cold dishes and cream cakes don't
have to be prepared at the last minute to ensure they are fresh and appetizing
when served.

These include the food industry, retailers and wholesalers, hotels and restaurants, ships, research institutes, health services and mortuaries. We welcome the challenge from new sectors! Our refrigerator and freezer rooms are turnkey deliveries that are built according to the requirements of each site and customer. The dimensions are determined for each case separately and so is the standard of the fittings. The delivery includes the floor, wall and ceiling panels and the doors, which can be chosen from our wide selection. Pressure balancing valves are included for freezer rooms. The delivery can also include the refrigeration equipment and other accessories. These include shelves, cold air curtain, windows, door curtain fan, and a whole range of accessories that make it easier to use the room and monitor the temperature. A practical design depends on its components Erecting the cold store is easy, since all necessary fittings come with the delivery, along with clear instructions. But if you wish to make sure that erection is as fast and troublefree as possible, we will carry it out for you, or we will supervise the work. A RAC Kettering cold room is a simple and safe choice, since all the components come from the same supplier. The dimensions can be freely chosen; they are specified separately for each customer, to the nearest 150 mm. With their modular structure and quick action locks, the cold stores are easy to alter and expand. Foodsafe facing materials and the well designed structure help to make the rooms hygienic. The CFC and HCFC free polyurethane insulation is environmentally friendly and cuts energy costs. Suitable materials for different uses The insulating material is rigid polyurethane which is foamed in a mould. It is free of CFCs and HCFCs and has a density of 40 kg/m3. The standard facing for the panels is 0.6 mm galvanized steel sheet, coated with white (RAL 9010) foodsafe polyester. The facing can also have a PVF2 coating or can be of stainless steel, but these need to be specified separately. For special orders thicker sheet can be used, up to 1.0 mm. Huurre Panels represent a flexible method of construction. Huurre Panels may
be installed either horizontally or vertically. The structural frame may be
on either the inside or the outside. In interiors, a separate structural frame
is not usually needed. From computer aided design to construction using only fully trained installation
teams, Insulated Modular Structures can guarantee quality control and compete
customer satisfaction. S.D.V.B. and HDN expanded Polystyrene laminated C.F.C. free, insulated panels with fire retardant additive, all panels have turned safety edges, and tongue and groove jointing splines. C.F.C. free, foam injected Polyurethane, insulated modular panels, fire retardant to BS4735, all panels have turned safety edges, and are fitted with none rusting cam locks and receivers set within a tongue and groove panel edge. Mineral wool laminated C.F.C. free, insulated panels conforming and tested to B.S.476 part 22, (Insulation and Integrity). suitable for high-risk areas defined in the 'Loss Prevention Council' standard L.P.C.1208. C.F.C. free, none combustible Polyisocyanurate insulated modular panels, suitable for all applications including Freezer application. We can offer various panel facings materials to suit your individual requirements, PVC foodsafe coated steel, Stainless Steel, HP200 external grade PVC coated steel, GRP, and foodsafe Polyester. Most finishes can be supplied either flat or with a shallow profile. We offer a wide range of specialist insulated doors to suit all Coldroom applications and the food and hygiene industry, from Hinged, Sliding (Manual or electric operation) to hygienic insulated or flip flap personal doors, all to suit the required temperature environment. Our comprehensive design ensures that when temperature dictates, our insulated floor options will protect the under-floor structural slab from frost heave and structural damage. Various options of floor finish are available, rigidized galvanised steel, aluminium, granolithic concrete, none slip 'Altro' flooring to name a few. Selection of floor finishes are subject to site and temperature conditions, RAC Kettering can advise the best floor finish for your project.
